Coffee, Ex pros have played the game even if they are a bit dim intellectually, they know the game.
Do away with this bollocks of putting your flag up 20 minutes after the play has moved on when it's clearly offside, none of these idiotic decisions by refs like we've seen by Mr Dean.
Find it odd how the players don't want to be part of it, I can only assume this is why there's no ex pros as officials.

Ex professionals need to go into refereeing, and it also should be ex pros who are the VAR refs.

Let's face it, these referees probably start refereeing at about 16, usually because they're shit at football and work their way up the refereeing pyramid. They must have some weird character trait as who would give up their Saturday afternoon to be verbally and sometimes physically abused?Why not fast track some ex-pros, pay them a decent salary, they may have more of an idea then the likes of Dean and Mason?

That VAR table is worthless because it only shows points won or lost as a result of overturned decisions. It doesn’t show whether the overturned decision was correct or not. It also doesn’t allow for incorrectly upheld decisions or where they just haven’t bothered to refer.

Yeah, I should have written "death threats" because their pretty tame for TWITTER.
I have said this previously, but he'd have had a lot more shit shouted at him at the game if supporters were allowed in the stadium, so he should have thick skin.
He's obviously doing it all to deflect from the shit decision he made.
